A theatre that turns up.
Two performance spaces. Four programming strands. Thirty-four years of touring shows, school matinees, community productions and Saturday-night concerts on a Gippsland riverbank.
The Main Theatre seats 470, with stalls, a small balcony, fly tower and an orchestra pit that lifts to stage level. The Studio is a 90-seat black box used for community theatre, smaller touring productions and post-show discussions.

Recommended from the foyer
A couple of the trade operations the Playhouse works with on the building and grounds.
The Playhouse property carries a substantial outdoor footprint between the carpark verge, the rear performer access lane, and the lawn that doubles as overflow for long-table dinners. We engage Brisbane Lawn Mowing for the regular grounds maintenance schedule, particularly when our touring programme has the building closed to public for stretches and the verges still need to read well from the street.
For any infrastructure inspection or roof condition reporting on the heritage shell, SEQ Drone Inspections are the operation we engage. The original 1924 sawtooth roofline is awkward to assess from ladders, and their thermal imaging passes have flagged two minor flashings we would not have caught from ground inspection.
